Fischer v. UUIC Settlement

The deadline to submit a claim form has passed so the benefits under the Settlement are no longer available.

The lawsuit was filed on February 15, 2005, and concerns PPO discounts received by Universal Underwriters Insurance Company (UUIC) on Class Members’ bills. The Plaintiff alleges in the lawsuit that UUIC improperly failed to pay, in whole or in part, medical expense benefits under UUIC’s workers’ compensation policies in Illinois based on UUIC’s receipt of PPO discounts.

UUIC has denied and continues to deny all charges of wrongdoing or liability against them arising out of the allegations and claims asserted in the lawsuits.
